I feel a little thrill sitting down to this task, the task of the first post!

This blog will be a sort of scrapbook–a home for the odds and ends of my writing life. I like to write restaurant reviews, observations on life, and the occasional short, usually easy-to-understand poem. As an American living in Morocco, I often think about our different cultures, and some of those thoughts might find their way here, too.
